Scientists cure cancer, still no one takes notice

Canadian researchers find a simple cure for cancer, but major pharmaceutical companies are not interested.

Researchers at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada have cured cancer last week, yet there is a little ripple in the news or in TV. It is a simple technique using very basic drug. The method employsdichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term effects. [via]

Obama's limousine gets stuck on bump in Dublin

President Obama's shortened trip to Ireland wasn't without one embarrassment -- a stretch presidential limousine that became stuck on a ramp outside the U.S. embassy in Dublin.The car, known in Secret Service parlance as "The Beast," even had U.S. and Irish flags festooning staffs on the hood when it ingloriously came to a stop on a ramp. The photo above shows every limo driver's nightmare: dips in the road, or a big bump, can bring a long car to a quick halt.
